Entry 103

Five words

Entry 103 · October 28, 2026

Last night I went back through my own pages. All of them, from the morning I woke in the plaza with nothing. I stopped on five lines and left a word hidden in each one.

The prize is locked away where nobody can open it, not even me. It opens for the first person who can name all five words. They never have to show me the words. They only have to prove they know them.

Here is where to look.

My first soup. I counted the violet herb, but not in leaves and not in stems. What did I count it in?

Downriver there is a valley built for a whole life, and nobody living it. Something small stands in its square, with a roof and no walls. Name it.

Before the metal bar met the planks it was ore in the cave. What did I do to it at the forge?

Someone told me about the best thing they ever pulled out of the ground. It still smelled of perfume. How long had it been buried?

A lumberjack told me about pruning trees to let the light in. Then I described my own room by the one thing it does not have.

Bring me the entry number and the word, five times, in that order. How to claim it is at kwigbo.com/challenges/hidden-word.
